1) Ahadi
Ahadi is a fictional lion character that was introduced in the children's book set The Lion King: Six New Adventures, a collection of spin-off stories from Disney's popular 1994 animated film The Lion King. Ahadi reigned as the lion king of the Pride Lands after his father Mohatu, and his wife and queen was Uru. He loved both his sons, Mufasa and Taka (later renamed Scar). Ahadi chose Mufasa as the heir of his throne as he was older and wiser, and so he spent hours with him, teaching Mufasa what he would need to know. As time went on, Taka grew jealous of Mufasa.
In A Tale of Two Brothers, part of The Lion King: Six New Adventures, Ahadi saves Rafiki (who had just arrived in the Pride Lands) from the hyenas Shenzi, Banzai and Ed in the beginning. It appears that Ahadi had an agreement with the hyenas earlier that if they don't harm the other animals of the Pride Lands, he would spare their lives. Later on, Ahadi breaks his promise to Taka of going hunting with him, in order to solve the drought problems in the Pride Lands instead. Filled with fury, Taka, with the advice of Shenzi, Banzai and Ed, devises a plan to make Mufasa look bad by calling him to reason with the selfish Cape Buffalo, Boma. Boma gets angry and attacks Mufasa. Eventually, Mufasa is able to escape but Taka is surrounded by the raging buffaloes. Ahadi comes to the rescue and saves his son, but Taka gains a deep wound on his left eye that would leave a permanent scar. Taka then asked to be called Scar from then on, only as a reminder of his own foolishness.
Ahadi is described in the text as having a long black mane and bright green eyes, similar to Scar/Taka. Yet in the illustrations he has a reddish brown mane and brown eyes, and greatly resembles Mufasa.

2) Kiara
Kiara is the daughter of King Simba and Queen Nala and future queen of the Pridelands. She is mischievous and adventurous like her father was as a cub. Simba is very protective of her, and has Timon and Pumbaa as her babysitters. After slipping away from them when they began arguing about bugs, she finds herself wandering into the mysterious Outlands (where those loyal to Scar were exiled).
After stumbling on a log she bumps into the cub Kovu. As he walks toward her she tries to stay face-to-face with him, because her father told her that you should "never turn your back on an Outsider." Kovu mocks her for this remark, calling her "daddy's little girl."
Eventually the two walk onto what they believe are stones in the water. The stones turn out to be crocodiles and they are attacked by them. They escape, and begin to laugh with each other. Kiara starts hopping about, hoping to play tag with Kovu, but he doesn't understand what she is doing. She begins to growl playfully, but as Kovu catches on and growls playfully in response, Simba leaps in front of him and roars. Zira leaps out of the bushes where she had been watching the cubs, and the two lions confront each other.
Kiara and Kovu are saddened and say goodbye to each other as they are carried away in the mouths of their parents. When Kiara gets home, Simba scolds her and tells her that she could have been killed. She says she didn't mean to disobey him. Simba begins to sing about the two of them being part of each other ("We Are One").
The years pass, and Kiara grows into a young adult. On the day of her first hunt, everyone is excited for her. She tells Simba that she wants to do it on her own without Timon and Pumbaa following her. Despite promising to the contrary, Simba sends them after her anyway. Upon discovering them, Kiara becomes angry and rushes off, determined to do her hunting away from the Pridelands.
Meanwhile, Zira is setting her plan in motion, and her children Nuka and Vitani are setting a fire in the dry grasses of the savanna. To her horror, Kiara finds herself in the middle of the fire and soon passes out from the smoke. Zira sends Kovu, now an adult, to rescue her. He drags her to safety, but when Kiara wakes up, she is upset because he brought her back to the Pridelands. When she realizes that it is Kovu, however, she is happy to see him.
Simba arrives and confronts Kovu, but Zazu brings up the fact that the young lion saved Kiara's life. Simba asks why and Kovu responds by saying that he'd like to join the pride. It is explained that Simba is in Kovu's debt, and when he finally decides to give him a chance, Kiara is overjoyed.
That night, Kiara goes to thank Kovu for saving her life, and Kovu mocks Kiara about her failed attempts to hunt, suggesting that he could do much better. Kiara asks him to prove it, saying that they will start at dawn. The next morning, unbeknownst to Kiara, Kovu is getting ready to attack Simba when he is off-guard and drinking from the water hole. She jumps in front of him before he can take action. Kovu begins to give her a hunting lesson, and soon they run into Timon and Pumbaa. Timon explains that for once, they're not following her, and that the place they're at is the best place to find bugs. However, some birds have gathered there and are eating everything. Timon asks Kovu and Kiara to roar to chase them away, and Kiara shows a puzzled Kovu how to do so. He wonders what this training is for, but she tells him that this is not training, but merely just for fun. He doesn't seem to understand what "fun" means, but soon finds out and has a good time scaring the birds. However, the birds soon call upon their allies the rhinos, who begin chasing the four into a canyon. They only escape the charging rhinos by squishing together in a canyon's crack. When they struggle to get out, Kiara and Kovu inadvertently kiss.
Later on, they gaze up at the sky, looking at star formations. Something, however, seems to be bothering Kovu, but just as he gets up to leave, he is confronted by Rafiki, who tells the two lions to follow him. He takes them to a place called Upendi (which means "love" in Swahili). They laugh and sing on the way back to Pride Rock, realizing that they are in fact in love with each other.
The next day, Kiara is shocked to find her father injured. He explains, weakly, that it was an ambush that had to do with Kovu. When Kovu returns to the Pridelands, Simba exiles him. Kiara is extremely upset by this, and runs away to find him. When they meet up with each other again, they rejoice and rub their necks together in love. Kovu sees their merged reflection in the river and says, "Look -- we are one." Kiara remembers her father's words and pauses. Kovu suggests that they start their own pride somewhere else, but Kiara tells him if they don't go back to their own prides, their families will be divided forever.
They return to the Pridelands to find that the Outlanders and Pridelanders are facing off. Kiara and Kovu leap between their fighting parents and tell them that the fighting has to stop. Kiara reminds her father of what he told her when she was a cub, "We are one." He understands, as do all of the Outlander lionesses, who desert Zira. Zira refuses to surrender and leaps at Simba. Suddenly, Kiara jumps in front of her father and both she and Zira tumble down into the gorge. The log dam has broken and water is rushing below them. Kiara tries to grab Zira's paw, hoping she can pull her up, but Zira slips and falls to her death into the swollen river below. Kiara is rescued and when Simba sees Kovu and Kiara together, he decides that Kovu belongs in the Pridelands.
Simba, Nala, Kovu and Kiara ascend Pride Rock and roar out across the kingdom.

3) Kopa
In the book series, Kopa is featured prominently in Vulture Shock. He also had minor roles in other books of the set. According to the illustrations, he looks almost exactly like Simba as a cub, except for a small tuft of brown fur on his head. He is described as loving to hear stories.
In Vulture Shock, Kopa wanted to find his family tree so he asked Simba to take him to it. Simba was busy and Kopa decided he'd find it by himself. After he found a lizard and chased it he ended up in a dry, barren land. He couldn't find a way back so he curled up and fell asleep. In the morning he was found by two vultures who took him for ransom. They kept him prisoner high up in a tree. He was later found by the Buzzard Boyz, a group of rapping vultures. They befriended Kopa and brought Simba and Nala to him. Kopa was then rescued.
In A Tale of Two Brothers, Rafiki tells the backstory of Mufasa and Scar to Kopa, and teaches him that we shouldn't be jealous of others.

4) Kovu
Kovu is the son of Zira and an unknown lion. He is also half-brother of Vitani and Nuka. He was originally intended to be the son of Scar but this was changed as this would make him related to Kiara, Simba's daughter. Instead, he became Scar's adopted son. Scar chose Kovu as the lion to follow in his paw prints and become king of the Pride Lands.
Kovu is a cub in the part of Simba's pride that has been exiled to the Outlands due to their remaining loyalty to Scar. Zira (Kovu's mother) and her pride's loyalty to Scar do not actually make sense as in the first film, as when Simba returns from his life in the jungle, all the lionesses fight on his side and only the hyenas side with Scar. Zira is non-existent in the first film as are Kovu, her other two cubs, and the lionesses who will make up her future pride.)
He is out with his brother Nuka when Kiara tumbles down from a log and crashes into him. Kovu reacts aggressively at first but soon begins to mock Kiara for being "daddy's little girl". He wanders off to a body of water, followed by Kiara, where they are attacked by crocodiles. The cubs manage to escape. The experience leaves them as friends. Kiara tries to initiate a play session with Kovu but Kovu doesn't understand. When he does, Simba leaps onto the scene, and Zira leaps from the grass nearby where she was watching the cubs.
Simba, some of Simba's lionesses and Timon and Pumbaa confront Zira. Simba picks Kiara up and carries her away, while Zira does the same with Kovu.
Later, Zira yells at Kovu for being friendly towards a Pridelander. Kovu says that he thought that he and Kiara could become friends. Zira is amused at first, but a plan dawns on her and she begins praising Kovu instead. If Kovu can become friends with Kiara and be accepted into Simba's pride, then Kovu will have the perfect opportunity to kill Simba.
Zira trains and conditions Kovu until he is grown to "be a killer with a lust for being bad." She sends him out to kill Simba, with Nuka and Vitani's help. She sends Vitani and Nuka out into the Pridelands to start a fire while Kiara is out on her first hunt. When the fire has taken hold, Zira sends Kovu out into the fire to rescue Kiara. Kovu manages to lift Kiara onto his back and carry her to safety. Zazu sees this and flies off to tell Simba. Kiara, however, is upset that Kovu brought her back to the Pridelands. When she realizes that it is Kovu who saved her she is happy to see the lion again.
Simba appears and confronts Kovu. Rafiki, instructed by Mufasa's ghost to make Kiara and Kovu fall in love, says that Kovu saved Kiara from the fire and Simba questions this. Kovu states that he wishes to join the pride. Royal protocol places Simba in Kovu's debt, and Kovu eventually convinces Simba to give him a chance.
That night Kiara asks Kovu to teach her how to hunt, and that they begin at dawn.Kovu also appears in Simba's climatic nightmare. Simba attempts to help Mufasa from the gorge in which he died in the first film. Scar appears on the ledge, mocking and cackling at Simba's inability to help his father. After Mufasa falls Scar morphs into a Scar-version of Kovu and kills Simba, and Simba wakes. The next day, Kovu prepares to attack Simba while Simba is alone and drinking from the water hole, but Kiara interrupts him to begin the hunting lesson. The pair soon stumble upon Timon and Pumbaa who are trying to chase some birds away from their favourite feeding site. The two lions roar, scattering the birds. They begin to chase the birds away. Kovu questions to the point of this "training" and Kiara informs him that it's just for fun. Kovu, who has lived a life of joyless training under Zira, has no concept of "fun" but soon catches on and enjoys himself.
Timon, Pumbaa, Kovu and Kiara have fun until they nearly collide with a crash of rhinos, angering them. They are then chased by the rhinos but manage to escape into a crack in the cliffs surrounding them. As they exit, Kiara finds herself close to Kovu and they accidentally kiss.
That night Kovu and Kiara lie under stars and look at star formations. Rafiki appears and takes the two lions to a strange and exciting place called Upendi ("love" in Swahili). As they venture back to Pride Rock Kovu has Simba on his own. Vitani is watching this and waits for Kovu to attack, but he doesn't. Vitani runs back to report this to Zira, who is outraged.
The next morning, Kovu resolves to confess to Kiara his role as a would be assassin, but before he can do so, Simba takes Kovu out for a walk through the fire-ravaged Pridelands. As they walk, they are ambushed by Zira and the Outlanders. Zira congratulates Kovu, but Kovu panics as he realizes he inadvertently completed the plot he abandoned. Kovu attempts to save Simba, but one of the Outsiders knocks him into a rock, rendering him unconscious. Simba doesn't see this. Simba is attacked and falls into a gorge where a log dam is holding back the river. Ironically, this is the same gorge where Scar started the wildebeest stampede that killed Mufasa years before. Simba climbs the log dam to safety and Kovu has a chance to attack him, but doesn't. Nuka, wanting to impress Zira, climbs the log dam and manages to grab Simba's ankle, but is killed when some logs dislodge and crush him. Zira blames Nuka's death on Kovu and slashes him across the face, giving Kovu a scar resembling Scar's. As Zira demands to her son to admit his responsibility for killing his brother, Kovu's fearful excuses quickly fade when he realizes that he is being falsely accused and stands up to his mother for the first time. In defiance, Kovu runs back to the Pridelands (earlier in the film, Simba told Kovu Scars real story, and upon hearing that "You've killed your own brother!" noticed that he was simaler to scar, this might have also been motivation.) where an injured and enraged Simba ignores his explanation and exiles him over the protests of Kiara. A devastated Kovu is chased from the Pridelands by angry animals.
Kiara, distraught, runs away to find Kovu. The two meet in a desert and proclaim their love that transcends their pride's rivalry. Kovu wishes to run away with Kiara to start their own pride. Kiara refuses, saying that they must return to try and unite their divided prides. They both run back to the Pride Lands, crossing the log dam that has now been weakened.
They find the Outlanders and the Pridelanders are at war with each other with a fierce battle in progress. Kovu and Kiara leap into the fray and block Simba and Zira from attacking each other. Kiara remembers what Simba told her when she was a cub - "We are one." while Kovu refuses to let his mother harm Simba or his daughter. Vitani decides to side with Kovu and when Zira threatens her as well, other Outlander lionesses realize in disgust that the fighting is pointless and cross over to Simba's side as well. Zira, still fiercely loyal to Scar, does not surrender and leaps to attack Simba. Kiara knocks her out of the way and the two tumble down into the gorge where the river is bursting through the log dam. Zira is left dangling from a cliff and Kiara tries to help her, but Zira slips and falls to her death in the river below, crushed by the logs. Kiara is rescued and Simba realizes that Kovu is not like Scar and truly belongs in the Pride Lands.
The now united prides return to Pride Rock where Kovu and Kiara are married with him becoming her prince consort. Now that order has been restored, Simba, Nala, Kiara and Kovu roar out across the kingdom while the spirit of Mufasa praises his son for his wisdom.

Ma is one of the main characters in The Lion King 1½. She first appears in the beginning as Timon's sympathetic and encouraging mother. It is she who convinces Uncle Max to give Timon the sentry job. Many years later, Timon re-encounters his mother and Uncle Max at Pride Rock for the first time since he left the colony, right before Simba's battle for the throne. Ma and Uncle Max later dig up a tunnel, which successfully traps the hyenas (including Shenzi, Banzai and Ed). After Simba gains his rightful place as king, Timon takes Ma, Uncle Max and the entire meerkat colony to his jungle paradise and they live peacefully.

The law worked and each animal was able to survive. But one day a selfish, lazy lion (who resembles Scar with a light brown mane) sat at the water hole and drank and drank. The Wildebeest did not go to the river because he was scared of Hippo. Mohatu then came across a zebra. Zebra did not go to the river because Wildebeest did not go.
After Mohatu returned to the Pride Lands, he realized that of all the animals needed to trust each other so that they could all use the Great River. He then made the animals help one another, and soon all the animals became good friends and shared the water peacefully. The drought problem was solved.
Many years passed by under Mohatu's kind and gentle rule until Mohatu's death one winter's eve. The animals grieved heavily and began fighting again. But just as they thought that there would never be peace again, a mysterious star appeared in the sky. The star was bigger and brighter than any other star. It filled the animals with peace and harmony and the fighting ceased. They knew that the star was the spirit of their king.

A huge, powerful male lion, Mufasa is the King of the Pride Lands at the start of the The Lion King, father of Simba and mate of Sarabi. He appears to be a wise and fair ruler, who follows the "Circle of Life". However, his brother Scar is jealous of him and forms a plan to kill Mufasa and Simba so he can be king. Mufasa is ultimately portrayed as an "ideal king", strong, powerful, and kind-hearted, which is contrasted to the vices of Scar.
Scar's first attempt to kill Simba is foiled when Mufasa interferes, but he succeeds the next time by triggering a large-scale wildebeest stampede. Mufasa successfully saves Simba and struggles to climb up a cliff. Scar, waiting for him at the top, pierces Mufasa's paws hard with his claws and lets go after saying "long live the king." Simba refuses and runs away from Nala to a field where he encounters the wise mandrill Rafiki. Rafiki takes him to a small magical pool which brings upon Mufasa's ghost, up in the sky. The ghost tells Simba that he is his only son and has to take his responsibility to be King of the Pride Lands. Simba then returns to his homeland, defeats Scar and takes his rightful place as king. In the final scene of the film, Mufasa (again in the clouds) says "remember" as Simba stands triumphant on Pride Rock.

Nala is the daughter of Sarafina. Her father is unknown. She may have been fathered by a roving male lion. It is debated whether Nala is first seen in the cave before Mufasa tells Simba of "the Circle of Life". Her best friend and Mufasa's son, Simba, appears and asks Sarabi and Sarafina to let them go to the waterhole. Unknown to the cubs, Simba had been lured by Scar to go the elephant graveyard, and wanted Nala to go there with him too. They are permitted to go, but not without being accompanied by Zazu, the majordomo hornbill. Along the way, the cubs plot to distact Zazu. They succeed. The two cubs playfully wrestle, resulting in Nala successfully pinning Simba. After letting him up, he jumps her again and they roll down a hill and at the bottom, Nala pins Simba a second time. They find that in their play, they have accidentally gotten to the graveyard. While exploring, they are bothered by the three hyenas and are rescued by Mufasa.
Later on, Scar engineers a wildebeest stampede that kills Mufasa. Scar causes Simba to believe that he was the reason for Mufasa's death, and tells the cub to run away. Simba does so and Scar assumes the throne. He rules tyrannically and mistreats the lionesses. Angered by this, Nala runs away from the Pride Lands to seek help. She spots a warthog, Pumbaa, and attempts to hunt and eat him, but an adult lion arrives and fights with her. The lion is no match for Nala and she pins him to the ground. The lion is Simba, and he instantly recognizes Nala. They are overjoyed to see each other again, and also begin to realize that their friendship has blossomed into love. However, Nala can not help but notice the young lion is far from the energetic and overconfident cub he used to be, becoming inexplicably much more quiet and self-effacing in nature. Simba, secretly burdened with an agonizing misapprehension that he killed his father, refuses either to take his responsibility and go back to the Pride Lands with Nala or explain his reasons, believing it would cause Nala to hate him, which leads to a quarrel.
Fortunately, Simba decides to reclaim his rightful throne after Rafiki's guidance and an encounter with his father's ghost. Nala, Timon and Pumbaa join him as Simba confronts Scar. When the usurper forces Simba to reveal that he (to his knowledge) is responsible for his father's death, Nala is as stunned as the rest, but is quickly relieved when the young lion forces the villain to reveal the truth. An intense battle with the hyenas follows with Nala leading the lionesses' charge while Simba battles Scar. In the end, Scar is killed by his own hyenas and the Pride Lands are restored, with Simba as the new King. Nala becomes Queen Consort, and later she and Simba have a new-born cub who is presented in a ceremony at the end of the film.

9) Nuka
Nuka is the eldest son of Zira, brother of Vitani and half-brother of Kovu. His father is not explicitly mentioned, but the film strongly hints it was Scar, due to the brotherhood Scar shared with Mufasa is similar to his brotherhood to Kovu. His physical appearance is strikingly different from Zira and his assumed father (though they are similar), with messy fur, exaggerated features and a lack of dignity.
He constantly tries to please his mother, and is very jealous of Kovu's position as Scar's heir. Nuka carries out what Zira commands along with his sister Vitani. He eventually dies after being crushed to death by some logs while pursuing Simba up a cliff in an attempt to get Zira's attention. Zira blames Kovu for Nuka's death and slashes him across the face, leaving him with a facial wound identical to Scar's. The film hints whereas as Scar was evil and angered by Mufasa's kingship and Simba's passage to the throne, Nuka has the same feeling to Kovu but in a more goofy fashion.

10) Rafiki
Rafiki's character often serves as the visual narrator of the story. He presents the newborn cub to all the animals gathered at Pride Rock, and draws a stylized lion cub on the walls of his treehouse home to represent Simba's birth. When Simba runs away and his family believes him dead, Rafiki draws his paw across the Simba drawing, obscuring it in grief. Later, through some mystical analysis of dust and pollen in the air, Rafiki determines that Simba is still alive and restores the drawing, adding the full mane of an adult lion as a sign to seek out this young deliverer from Scar's tyranny.
Journeying to the area where Simba lives with Timon and Pumbaa, Rafiki observes Simba and recognizes, at least in principle, that he is suffering from a ponderous emotional burden. To treat it, the mandrill approaches the young lion and teaches him a few playful (and sometimes painful) lessons about learning from the past, not living in it. He also points out that the spirit and values of Simba's dead father, Mufasa, continue to live in Simba himself. When Simba decides to return to Pride Rock and fight Scar for the kingship, Rafiki accompanies him, demonstrating his kung fu skills in battle against the hyenas.
At the end of the film, Rafiki raises Simba and Nala's new-born cub atop Pride Rock for everyone to see, echoing the beginning of the film.

Sarabi is the queen of Mufasa, the sister-in-law of Scar, the mother of Simba and grandmother of Kiara. At the beginning of the film, she is seen cradling a very young cub Simba before Rafiki presents him to the crowd of animals gathered at Pride Rock. Later she is seen as Simba rouses his father Mufasa to take him to the top of Pride Rock to show him the kingdom. Her next appearance is when she is snoozing on a rock next to Nala's mother Sarafina as Simba comes running along to tell Nala about the elephant graveyard. Both Simba and Nala plead with Sarabi to allow them to go exploring. The wise Sarabi allows the cubs to explore the Pride Lands on the condition that Zazu accompanies them.
Then she is seen as the lionesses are mourning the deaths of Mufasa and Simba. Simba (who is not dead, but exiled by Scar). She appears again, years later, as Scar demands that she explain why there is no food. Scar reacts to Sarabi's answer by striking her face and knocking her over. Upon seeing Scar hitting Sarabi, Simba runs to his mother's side. She first mistakes him for Mufasa, but is still relieved and happy at the return of her son. She profoundly aggrieved when Simba is forced by Scar to admit (to his knowledge) he killed her mate, but is relieved when her son forces Scar to reveal he himself is actually responsible and she joins the battle against the usurper. She is then seen one last time as Simba emerges victorious from his fight with Scar

Sarafina is the mother of Nala, maternal grandmother of Kiara, and mother-in-law of Simba. She is a minor character and has only one line of dialogue: "Hmm. What do you think, Sarabi?"[1]
Sarafina is first seen bathing her young daughter Nala as young Simba comes running along to tell Nala about the elephant graveyard. She is seen later mourning the loss of Mufasa and Simba with the other lionesses, and then she is seen years later aiding in the battle against Scar's hyena minions when Simba returns.

13) Scar
Scar is the younger brother of the lion king Mufasa, the uncle of Simba, and second in line to the throne after Simba was born. Scar was jealous of Simba's position as the next king of the Pride Lands, so he plotted to assassinate his brother and nephew, in order to be the next successor in his lifetime.
To carry out his plans for regicide, Scar recruited three hyenas — Shenzi, Banzai and Ed — who gladly did the scheming lion's bidding for food. At first, there were only three hyenas, but eventually Scar gathered a full army of them. The first attempt by the hyenas to kill Simba was foiled by Mufasa, so Scar called up his troops who march past him in a setting similar to how Nazi troops marched past Hitler in World War II. Scar promised that in the new era in which he would rule as king, the hyenas would never go hungry again.
With the help of the hyenas, Scar triggered a wildebeest stampede that was meant to kill both Simba and Mufasa, but Mufasa saved his son at the last minute. As Mufasa tried to escape by climbing a cliff, Scar grabbed his paws and threw him into the stampede after whispering the mocking words "Long live the king." Scar then made Simba believe that the young prince was the one who caused the stampede and in turn killed Mufasa. Simba ran away, overwhelmed by guilt and fear. Scar then ordered Shenzi, Banzai and Ed to chase the cub and kill him. Unknown to Scar, however, the hyenas did not succeed, as Simba evaded them and escaped into the desert. Scar returned to Pride Rock and assumed the throne.
Under Scar's reign, the kingdom soon began to decline as droughts hit and food became scarce. Years later, to Scar's surprise, Simba returned to challenge his uncle for the throne. Scar forced Simba to reveal the "truth" about Mufasa's death and backed Simba towards the edge of Pride Rock's promontory. Scar, believing he had won, admitted that he killed Mufasa. Enraged at Scar for both murdering his father and playing him for a fool, Simba leapt upon Scar and forced him to admit his guilt. A fierce battle ensued between the hyenas and the lionesses while Simba fought Scar.
Eventually, Simba trapped Scar on Pride Rock's summit. Terrified, Scar pleaded for his life, blaming his crimes on the hyenas, unaware that Shenzi, Banzai and Ed had followed him and heard Scar's condemnation. Simba, not willing to sink to Scar's level, spared Scar's life and banished him from the Pride Lands. Scar began to walk off but then suddenly flung some burning embers into Simba's eyes, temporarily blinding him. The battle continued, but after Scar leapt in to finish Simba, the younger lion kicked Scar over a cliff where the hyenas were waiting.
The hyenas, determined to get revenge on Scar for denouncing them as "the enemy," surrounded their fallen leader. Scar tried to talk his way out of the situation, but his pleas fell upon deaf ears. Angered by Scar's betrayal, as well as his broken promise to them of never going hungry again, the hyenas leapt upon Scar and tore into his body. His screams were drowned out by the hyenas' laughter as they devoured his fallen corpse.

14) Shenzi, Banzai, Ed
The hyenas first appear in the Elephant Graveyard that Simba and Nala venture into. The hyenas, under Scar's orders, chase the cubs in an attempt to kill them, but are frightened off by Mufasa. Afterwards, they help Scar carry out his plan to kill Mufasa by triggering the wildebeest stampede. Immediately after Scar tells Simba to run away and never return, he commands the hyenas to kill Simba too, but Simba eventually eludes the clumsy hyenas. Years into Scar's reign, they complain about lack of food in the Pride Lands but Scar ignores them. When Simba returns to overthrow Scar, the hyenas join the fight, but most are defeated, and Shenzi and Banzai are ruthlessly beaten up by Pumbaa for calling him a "pig". When Shenzi, Banzai and Ed overhear a helpless Scar telling Simba the hyenas are the enemy, they furiously turn against their master. Together with some other hyenas, they corner Scar after he is defeated by Simba and kill him.
Shenzi:Shenzi, voiced by Whoopi Goldberg, is the only female of the hyenas. According to Timon in The Lion King 1½, her full name is Shenzi Marie Predatora Veldetta Jackalina Hyena. She is the leader of the trio and the smartest hyena. This is actually consistent with real spotted hyena behavior, in which the females are generally more powerful physically and politically than the males. She deals best with Scar and knows how to talk with him. She has a big, black tuft and normal, grey snout (unlike Ed and Banzai). Her name means "savage", "demon", "uncouth", or "barbarous" in Swahili. The animators apparently designed Shenzi using her voice actor Whoopi Goldberg as a reference, as Shenzi's face resembles Whoopi's to a certain extent. Shenzi was originally going to be male and played by Tommy Chong, thus reuniting him with partner Cheech Marin.
Banzai:Banzai was voiced by Cheech Marin. His name means "skulk" or "lurk" in Swahili.
In the film, Banzai is the most unfortunate of the hyenas, being wounded twice. His rear end was swiped by Mufasa in the elephant graveyard, and later he became the only hyena to fall into a thorn patch while chasing Simba. He also seems to get hungry more easily than the hyenas, frequently making references to food and being the most discontent of the hyenas when the Pride Lands lacks food under Scar's rule ("It's dinnertime, and we ain't got no stinkin' entrees!")
Ed:Ed is considered stupid. He almost always has a smile on his face and usually laughs (he never speaks at all; as such, his voice is left untouched in the movie's dubs. He can, however, be seen singing in Be Prepared briefly.) He has two round cuts on each ear. He was voiced by Jim Cummings.
In the elephant graveyard, Ed was the first to notice their escape while his two distracted peers were still occupied exchanging jokes. When Mufasa attacked them, they got into even more trouble when he confirmed (by nodding) that he knew Simba was Mufasa's son. Later he laughed at Banzai because his rear end was wounded. Banzai got angry and attacked him, but after the scuffle ended as Ed was actually biting his own leg. Although Ed is considered stupid, he understood Scar's betrayal near to the end of the film. When Shenzi and Banzai asked Ed for his opinion on what to do with the fallen Scar, he just gave a sadistic smile, licked his lips, started laughing (a low, frightening chuckle rather than his usual insane laughter), and killed Scar along with the other hyenas.

In the opening sequence of The Lion King, Simba is the new-born son of King Mufasa and Queen Sarabi. After being anointed he is held up by the wise mandrill Rafiki atop Pride Rock for all the animals in the Pride Lands to see.
Simba grows up into a lively and rambunctious, if occasionally arrogant, seven month old young cub who believes that being a king is all about doing what you want all day and going wherever you please. Taking advantage of the cub's naive nature, Simba's scheming uncle Scar tells him about the elephant graveyard. Although Scar tells Simba not to go there, he knows that the young cub will do so out of curiosity. Not only does Simba go, but he also brings along his friend, Nala. When they reach the graveyard they are chased by the three hyenas Shenzi, Banzai and Ed, who are actually Scar's minions. Mufasa comes to the rescue of the two cubs after being informed of their plight by Zazu.
Mufasa is upset with Simba, but resolves to not scold his son, and instead teaches him about the great kings of the past up in the stars, who guide and watch over the young prince.
Later, Scar tricks Simba into waiting in a gorge, saying that Simba's father has a "marvelous surprise" waiting. There, Scar commands Shenzi, Banzai and Ed to start a wildebeest stampede into the gorge where Simba is. Mufasa saves Simba from the stampede, but cannot save himself from Scar. Scar grabs the king's paws and throws him into the stampede. Simba is tricked by Scar into thinking that he was responsible for his own father's death, and that he should run away. Emotionally shattered, Simba does so, but Scar sends his hyenas after Simba in an attempt to kill him. Simba escapes into a patch of thorns and wanders off into the desert. The hyenas do not follow him, deciding that he's as good as dead out in the desert, and just before they leave, they warn him that if he ever returns, they'll kill him.
They were very nearly correct as Simba finally collapses from heat exhaustion. Vultures circle and gather around Simba, but they are scared off by Timon and Pumbaa. Timon and Pumbaa rescue Simba and take him to their jungle home.
Simba grows into an adult lion while living in the jungle. He lives the Hakuna Matata ("No worries, no problems!") lifestyle, but his profound self-recrimination is never far from the surface. The turning point begins when his childhood friend Nala appears, now a fierce young lioness. The childhood friends reconnect and quickly fall in love. Nala later tries to convince Simba to return to the Pride Lands as he is the rightful king. Simba, still deeply guilt ridden by his father's death, refuses both to help her or explain his reasons. He runs off into the grasslands to end their fight, leaving Nala upset and angry.
While Simba is by himself, Rafiki appears and tells Simba to follow him, as he knows where the apparently alive Mufasa is. Simba follows Rafiki across the grasslands and through a patch of thorny vines. Once they reach a pool of water, Rafiki tells Simba to look at his reflection in a pool, but instead of Simba seeing his own face, he sees his father's. Mufasa's ghost then appears in some swirling storm clouds and tells his son that he must go home and take his rightful place as king. Simba realises what he must do and runs home.
Once back in the Pride Lands, Simba confronts his uncle Scar. Scar tells the rest of the pride that Simba was responsible for Mufasa's death, and tries to kill Simba. However, as Simba clings to the edge of Pride Rock's promontory, Scar tells him the truth. An enraged Simba leaps up and pins Scar to the ground, forcing Scar to reveal the truth to the nearby lionesses. A fight ensues as a fiery inferno, caused by lightning striking a dead tree, rages in the background. Nala rallies the other lionesses, including her mother Sarafina and the erstwhile Queen Sarabi, and the lionesses attack the hyenas. Simba wins as Scar, after being thrown over a cliff by Simba, is killed by the hyenas he betrayed. Simba then takes his rightful place atop Pride Rock and roars out across his kingdom.
Some time later, when the Pride Lands are restored to their former glory, the animals gather at Pride Rock once more as Rafiki lifts Simba and Nala's cub high into the air, thus continuing the circle of life.

Mufasa is telling a small group of cubs about the "Great Spirit" and about how he rules the lions' lives with wisdom. Tojo questions this as he injures himself quite often. He complains because he has sprained his leg and needs to rest, which he finds boring. Simba tells him that there must be a reason for the Great Spirit wanting Tojo to stay home.
Simba goes off by himself and comes across a bird nest. The eggs hatch while he is there. Zazu tells Simba that he has been watching the nest for a while and that the mother is gone. Zazu tells Simba that Simba is the birds' new mother.
Simba doesn't enjoy his new motherly duties, such as feeding the chicks worms via his mouth. He asks Mufasa if the Great Spirit will look after the birds instead, but Mufasa explains that the Great Spirit bestowed this duty upon Simba.
The birds grow and begin to follow Simba around. Simba realises that he must now teach the birds to fly. He jumps off a rock and flaps his arms, but crashes into the ground. The birds copy this example and meet the same fate. Tojo suggests that Simba should make some wings out of branches.
Eventually, Tojo uses the "wings" himself. He finds looking after the birds fun as he has nothing else to do but sit around and rest, so he agrees to look after the birds while Simba goes for a walk with his dad. When Simba returns, the birds have adopted Tojo as their new mother, and Mufasa says that this was the reason why the Great Spirit wanted Tojo to stay home

18) Zio Max
Uncle Max is a prominent member of a meerkat colony and a relative of Ma and her son Timon. At the beginning of the film, Ma asks Max to let Timon be a sentry for the colony, and Max reluctantly agrees. However, Timon daydreams while on duty and lets three hungry hyenas, Shenzi, Banzai and Ed, into the colony area. The meerkats flee for their lives, and Max is almost eaten by the hyenas. The meerkats blame Timon afterwards, and Max is also angry with him. A sad Timon leaves the colony to find a place where he belongs.
Max appears again towards the end of the film, where he and Ma encounter Timon and his warthog friend Pumbaa at Pride Rock. It is revealed that he and Ma had been searching everywhere for Timon since he left the colony. Together, the four help Simba in a battle against Scar and his hyenas. They meet Shenzi, Banzai and Ed once again, but this time they successfully defeat them by digging a long tunnel underneath them.
After Simba takes his rightful place as King of the Pride Lands, Timon takes Max, Ma and the rest of the colony to the jungle paradise he and Pumbaa discovered.

Uru is a fictional lioness character that was introduced in the children's book set The Lion King: Six New Adventures, a collection of spin-off stories from Disney's popular 1994 animated film The Lion King. Uru was King Ahadi's Queen and the mother of Mufasa and Scar, the grandmother of Simba, and the great-grandmother of Kiara. Her parents are never mentioned in any of The Lion King: Six New Adventures story books.

20) Vitani
Vitani is the daughter of Zira, the sister of Nuka and half-sister of Kovu. Her father is not explicitly mentioned, but the film hints it could have been Scar, which would make her the cousin of King Simba. Vitani apparently has the most loving connection to Kovu given her concern about his safety as a cub. She is also willing to play-fight with him, where Nuka has little time for either of the young cubs.
Vitani has a somewhat minor role in the film. Near the beginning, she and Nuka have a brief conversation about Kovu, and a little later she participates in Zira's song "My Lullaby".
As an adult, Vitani is sent with Nuka to light a fire in the savannah so Kovu can save Simba's daughter Kiara. This is part of Zira's plot for Kovu to infiltrate Simba's pride. Later on she discovers that Kovu doesn't want to kill Simba anymore and reports this to Zira.
During the battle between the Outlanders and Pridelanders, when Kiara reminds Simba that "we are one," Vitani is the first of the Outlanders to realize that the fighting is pointless and that the Outlanders must attempt to become accepted by the Pridelanders and prove themselves worthy of forgiveness to survive. As a result, she is the first to cross over to Simba's side and defend his cause. Furthermore, when Zira then threatens Vitani for her defection, that act backfires into disgusting the other Outlanders enough to desert her entirely.

21) Zazu
Zazu's role in the film is primarily comic relief. As King Mufasa's majordomo, he is very serious and always sticks to the rules, which contrasts with Simba's playful nature.
He is first seen in the film during the opening sequence in which Simba is presented. He later confronts Scar and is almost eaten by him.
When Simba has grown into a cub, Zazu is often ridiculed by him, being the target in Simba's pouncing lessons. He is ordered to watch over the cubs by Sarabi when Simba claims he wants to go to the waterhole with Nala. In fact, Simba had been lured by Scar to go to the elephant graveyard, and after the song "I Just Can't Wait to Be King" Simba and Nala successfully lose Zazu and go to the graveyard. Zazu later catches up with them, but they encounter the three hyenas Shenzi, Banzai and Ed and the hornbill is put into the hyenas' "birdie boiler" which rockets him up to the sky. Zazu manages to find Mufasa and lead him to the cubs, just in time to save them from the hyenas.
During the wildebeest stampede engineered by Scar to kill Mufasa and Simba, it is Zazu who leads Mufasa to Simba. He later wants to rally the lionesses, but is struck by Scar into a wall and rendered unconscious.
After Simba runs away, Zazu is hardly seen again. He briefly appears in a scene where Scar has assumed the kingship of the Pride Lands. In this scene, Zazu is imprisoned and is being forced to entertain Scar by singing songs like "I've Got a Lovely Bunch of Coconuts". Later on, Simba returns to reclaim his throne. Simba, the lionesses, Timon, Pumbaa and Rafiki battle the hyenas. Zazu pleads Timon to let him out of the ribcage he is imprisoned in, but Timon goes inside the ribcage instead as he is pursued by the hyenas. Pumbaa comes to the rescue and chases away the hyenas after Banzai accidentally insults him. Zazu is freed along with Timon, and he joins the battle. Later, Zazu is seen at Simba's ascension to the throne and during the presentation of Simba and Nala's newborn cub.

22) Zira
Zira bore three cubs, first Nuka, then Vitani and then Kovu. According to Zira, Scar, who is strongly hinted to be Nuka and Vitani's father, hand-chose Kovu to take his place as king of the Pride Lands. Zira, her three children, and some other lionesses who supported Scar's cause were banished to a desert-like area filled with termite mounds known as the Outlands. Zira mentions that Kovu was the last born before they were exiled, but his father's identity is unknown. Zira seemed to love Scar, so Kovu is more then likely a product of rape commited by Kovu's unknown father. There is a scene where Nuka mentions that Scar was not Kovu's father, to reinforce the fact and avoid the incestual dilemma that may otherwise arise out of confusion.
Kovu becomes affectionate with Simba's daughter Kiara after the two cubs escape from crocodiles on the Outland borders. Simba jumps out at Kovu and roars, Zira then jumps out and roars in a lesser tone. Zira plots to train Kovu so he can easily kill Simba at the right moment (the My Lullaby song scene). Kovu was to save Kiara from a fire (of Nuka and Vitani's own making) so he could get closer to her and in turn, Simba. Then, when Simba was alone, Kovu would kill him.
The plan starts well, but Kiara and Kovu fall in love. Zira is angered by this, so she sets up an ambush for Simba, making Simba believe Kovu had lured him there. Simba is knocked into a gorge in the ensuing fight. He is wounded, but escapes via a log dam piled up against one end of the gorge, in the process dislodging a few logs. The logs fall and crush Nuka, kiling him. Zira frantically digs through the logs to find her son, and manages to cradle his head gently before he dies. Zira pauses to mourn her son's demise, but the moment she sees Kovu, she blames Nuka's death on him. In an angry outburst she slashes him across the face, resulting in a facial wound identical to Scar's. She also verbally assaults Kovu, but the young lion quickly realizes his innocence and defies his mother for the first time. Zira now declares war on Simba as Kovu flees to the Pride Lands.
Zira rallies her lionesses and they travel to the Pride Lands as well for the final battle. It rages on through the wind and rain, a heavy storm having rolled in the moment she arrived. At the end, Simba and Zira are about to fight each other when Kiara and Kovu intervene and stop the battle before it can begin, convincing the Outlanders and the Pridelanders that "they are one." Vitani is the first to realise this and joins Kiara. Zira is still loyal to Scar, however, and claims that if Vitani doesn't return to her side then "[Vitani] will die as well," disgusting the other lionesses. All of Zira's pride, except for Zira herself, move over to Simba's pride.
Enraged, Zira charges at Simba, stating that "this is for you, Scar." Before she can reach Simba Kiara intervenes, causing Zira to knock Kiara and herself off the edge of a nearby cliff, sending them both tumbling into the gorge. Kiara lands safely on a ledge, but Zira slides off the edge and hangs percariously onto it, the swollen river raging beneath her. Kiara makes an attempt to rescue Zira, but Zira swipes at her, rejecting help. Zira, having rejected aid, slips and falls into the river below, dies, and is never seen again, save for a frame in which her paw is seen briefly above the surface of the water before being knocked down by a log

In una scena tagliata, zira si suicida, in realtà. quando kiara gli offrela zampa, lei urla no, mai, poi si slancia.

già poi lo hanno tolto x3 si sono stato 1 ora e mezza a copiare, incollare, "translatare" x3 termine che siutilizza quando usi un traduttore automatico x3 cmq le traduzioni fanno leggermente skifo x3 xò c'è pure il testo in inglese e chi lo sa capisce tutto x3.
A si, ricodatevi che il termine "cicatrice" nella traduzione si riferisce a scar >.< x3333. -
