First Generation.
Mufasa - Former King of Pride Rock. Older brother to Scar, father to Simba. Before his death at the hands of Scar, he taught and trained his son Simba to become King, and soon convinced him to return to Pride Rock to reclaim the throne.
Scar - Former Prince of Pride Rock. Younger brother of Mufasa, and uncle to Simba. Jealous of Mufasa and Simba's position, he stages a coup with the sadistic hyenas to take the throne, resulting in the death of Mufasa, and the banishment of Simba, allowing Scar to rule the Pride Lands with an iron fist, before meeting his death at the hands of his nephew Simba.
Sarabi - Queen of the Pride Lands, wife of Mufasa, and the mother of Simba. She raises her son proudly, and years later, helps him take back the throne.
Sarafina - Loyal follower of Mufasa, sister in law to Sarabi, and the mother of Nala. Sometime in her life, she betrothed her daughter Nala, to the future King, Simba.
Second Generation
Simba -Son and heir of Mufasa and Sarabi, son in law of Sarafina, mate of Nala, and father of Kiara and Kion. Born in the Pride Lands, Simba is raised to be the next King. His chosen path is halted though, once his uncle, murders Mufasa, and banishes Simba. Simba is found and adopted by Timon and Pumbaa, before reuniting with Nala, and the ghost of his father, resulting in his return to the Pride Lands, reclaiming his throne.
Nala - Daughter of Sarafina and an unknown lion, daughter in law of Sarabi and Sarafina, mate and Queen of Simba, and mother to Kiara and Kion. Born under Mufasa's rule, Nala is betrothed to Mufasa's heir, Simba, sparking from a close friendship. After Simba's exile from Pride Rock, Nala journeys across the lands, and returns Simba to the Pride Lands, before becoming his Queen at his side.
Zira -Wife of Scar, Great Aunt, Aunt of Simba, later mother in law of Kiara and Kion, mother to Nuka, Vitani, and Kovu, and the former Queen of the Pride Lands. During the reign of Scar, Zira became the dark lion's bride, with her youngest son as his heir. She wants nothing more than her and her son Kovu, ruling Pride Rock, even if it means killing Simba, and his daughter, and hand chosen successor Kiara, as well as Prince Kion.
Third Generation
Kiara - Daughter of Simba and Nala, Granddaughter to Mufasa, Sarabi, and Sarafina, Great Niece of Scar, and the older sister to Kion. After the defeat of Scar, Kiara is presented to the Kingdom as its future Queen. After running off from her babysitters, she bumps into, and befriends Kovu, the exiled Prince of Pride Rock, before being separated by the feuding parents. Years later, they fall in love and unite the two Prides, becoming the Crown Princess and Prince Consort of Pride Rock.
Kion - Son of Simba and Nala, Grandson of Mufasa, Sarabi, and Sarafina, Great Nephew of Scar, younger brother to Kiara. Sometime after the first encounter between Kiara, Kion's sister and the future Queen of the Pride Lands, and Kovu, the former Prince of Pride Rock, Kion is born and presented to the Kingdom. Months later, he becomes leader of The Lion Guard, tasked with protecting the Pride Lands. He and the Guard are currently fighting the spirit of Scar, whom was revived by Janja, the leader of the descendants of the infamous hyena who helped Scar, before betraying him.
Kovu - Son of Zira, adoptive son of Scar, younger brother to Nuka and Vitani, brother in law to Kion, mate of Kiara. Sometime within Scar's reign, Zira bore 3 cubs with an unknown lion, one of whom Scar adopted as his son, choosing him as his heir, presumably giving him the name of Kovu. His chosen path is halted once the rightful King, Simba, returned and defeated Scar, exiling his family to the Outlands, where he meets Kiara, months later. Years later, Kovu and Kiara fall in love and use this to reunite the warring Prides.
Nuka - Eldest Son of Zira, stepson of Scar, brother to Kovu and Vitani. Sometime within Scar's reign, Zira bore 3 cubs with an unknown lion, with the eldest being Nuka, who was passed in favor of his younger brother Kovu, as the adoptive child and heir to Scar. After Scar's death, Nuka attempts to avenge his stepfather, before being killed in an ambush.
Vitani - Daughter of Zira, stepdaughter of Scar, sister to Nuka and Kovu. Sometime within Scar's reign, Zira bore 3 cubs with an unknown lion, one of whom was a female cub, given the name of Vitani, who would later be exiled from Pride Rock, where she would be trained to avenge her stepfather, before helping Kiara, the future Queen, and her future sister in law stop the warring Prides..
