Timon e Pumbaa
(serie televisiva)
Timon e Pumbaa (Timon and Pumbaa) è una serie televisiva statunitense prodotta dalla Disney dal 1996. È lo spin-off del film Il re leone e ha come protagonisti Timon e Pumbaa.
È stato trasmesso per la prima volta sulla ABC, poi Disney Channel e Toon Disney.
La serie animata fu dedicata interamente a Timon e Pumbaa. In questi episodi, viene illustrata la vita di Timon e Pumbaa, prima e dopo il Re leone, e le loro divertenti avventure nella giungla. In questa serie, si scontrano spesso con Fusto Quint, avventuriero e cacciatore (occasionalmente anche fotografo, cuoco, cercatore d'oro, ladro e truffatore) che funge da antagonista, ostacolando i due amici in ogni impresa. Quint cambia nome e identità (anche se il nome ufficiale è Fusto Quint) a seconda dell'episodio e dell'occupazione assegnatoli. Nella serie i due hanno viaggiato per il mondo e affrontato ogni sorta di avventura. Sono anche capaci di parlare e di farsi capire dagli uomini. Nella serie appare anche Simba, in una manciata di episodi (come "Predatori" e "Timon e Pumbaa a Roma"), insieme a altri personaggi del Re leone come Rafiki, Zazu e le iene Shenzi, Banzai ed Ed. Vi sono anche alcune canzoni dedicate a Timon e Pumbaa, come The Lion sleeps tonight e Yummy Yummy Yummy.
