THE LION KING MUSICAL on Broadway
The Lion King Musical è un musical basato sul celebre film Il Re Leone (in inglese The LIon King XD!). Lo show è prodotto ancora da Disney per la precisione Disney Theatrical.
Gli attori indossano costumi scenografici che ricordano il film e riprendono in larga parte lo stile africano
Lo spettacolo ha debuttato l'8 Luglio 1997, a Minneapolis, Minnesota presso l'Orpheum Theatre, e fu un vero successo prima di essere trasferito in modo permanente (in Ottobre) a New York al New Amsterdam Theatre di Broadway.Nel 1999 ha debuttatto anche presso il London's Lyceum Theatre ed è ancora in esecuzione.
Uno spettacolo era stato aperto anche a Toronto in Canada dal 1999 al 2004.
Il 13 Giugno 2006 la produzione di Broadway è stata trasferita presso il Minskoff Theatre per lasciare spazio alla produzione del musical su Mary Poppins.
