21st Century Kimba
This summer, Japan's Fuji Television Network is celebrating its 50th anniversary as well as the 80th anniversary of Osamu Tezuka's birth with a series of new TV adaptations of Tezuka's most popular stories. As part of this series, there will be a new Jungle Emperor/Kimba the White Lion show.
It has been almost 20 years since the previous TV adaptation of this story, and 44 years since Jungle Emperor/Kimba the White Lion first premiered on TV as the first color animated series in Japan. The new show will be a one-time, 30-minute broadcast.
Here is a preliminary summary of the plot:
Earth, sometime in the 21st century. Because of non-stop environmental destruction, the United Nations commissions a private company, "Eternal Earth", to create an artificial jungle, to be a nature preserve and to protect animals. All wild animals are forced to live in it.
The animals that live in this "neo-jungle" have an easy life. Leo, son of Panja, is born in this artificial world. Because of the unrealistic nature of the neo-jungle, Leo lives his life like he hasn't a care in the world. But Leo is ridiculed by the other animals; they call him a coward--he is not like his father, the great Jungle Emperor, but Leo vows that some day he will be.
Kenichi, son of the Eternal Earth company's CEO, has no doubt about the great success of the neo-jungle. The story starts when Leo and Kenichi meet.

In pratica per celebrare l'anniversario dell'80 compleanno di Osamu Tezuka è stata realizzata un'animazione su Kimba durata 30 minuti circa.
Plot:
Terra, da qualche parte nel 21° secolo. A causa della inarrestabile distruzione dell'ambiente le Nazioni Unite hanno commissionato a una compagnia privata la "Eternal Earth" (=Terra Eterna) di creare una jungla artificiale per preservare la natura e proteggere gli animali. Tutti gli animali selvatici sono costretti a vivere lì.
Tutti gli animali che vivono in questa neo-jungla hanno una vita facile. Leo, figlio di Panja, è nato in questo mondo artificiale. A causa della natura irreale di questa neo-jungla, Leo vive la sua vita senza curarsi del mondo esterno.
Leo viene preso in giro da altri animali, che gli danno del codardo, dicendogli che non è come suo padre, il grande Imperatore della jungla; ma Leo promette a se stesso che un giorno lo sarà
Kenichi, figlio del capo (immagino che CEO voglia dire questo) della compagnia Eternal Earth, non ha dubbi sul grande successo della neo-jungla. La storia inizia con l'incontro tra Leo e Kenichi.
Commento:
In sostanza mi sembra un tributo, un'omaggio, un pò come quel cortometraggio di Kimba giovane prodotto insieme al film che vidi tempo fa..--->> https://lionking.forumcommunity.net/?t=7569525 con alcune differenze però,.. intanto è ambientato nel presente, anzi sembra quasi un futuro prossimo.

Caspita sembra davvero interessante. E ho visto tutte e 58 le immagini del link. Più che Kimba all'inizio il cucciolo pareva Rune il figlio...
Però davvero i disegni sono belli e speriamo che questo anime arrivi in Italia.

On September 5, 2009, an all-new version of Kimba (Jungle Emperor) appeared on TV in Japan. It was a 107-minute movie, produced as part of a celebration of the 80th anniversary of Osamu Tezuka's birth.

The director of this movie was Taniguchi Goro (Planetes, Code Geass). The story was written by Suzuki Osamu (SMAPxSMAP TV variety show, Lovely Complex [live action version]). Character design was by Amano Yoshtaka, and it was animated by Tezuka Productions.
Most of the characters in this new movie look as if they came from the 1989 Jungle Emperor / New Adventures of Kimba series.. -

Ha davvero avuto una grande rivoluzione nel disegno. Anche se Leo/Kimba lo preferisco in versione 1965/1989/1997. Qui lui da cucciolo ha la testa più grande del corpo, o è una mia impressione? Cmq è dolcissimo lo stesso!

E' vero, ma per due motivi è così: qui non si cura l'anatomia del leoncino (come per Panja eco.) il fatto che abbia la testa più grando è una scelta per renderlo più "pucci" tenero, dolce, peluches <3 E' così anche per il fatto che qui Leo è più cicciolo rispetto alle altre serie precedenti.
Però quando era più baby anche nelle versioni precedenti la testa era più grande:

Oddio panja è disegnato benissimo!!! E quella pantera poi!!! E' stupendaaa!!! L'unica cosa che non mi piace molto è come è disegnato leo... ha gli occhi troppo distanti e la testa strana e abnorme XD però vabbè dai è carino ^^ . -

Devo dire che mi è piaciuto molto. Uno spin-off certo, ma segue bene alcuni temi fondamentali della storia originale inoltre aggiunge una seri di elementi caratteristici.
In complesso è una bella storia, con punti avventurosi o di dramma, un ottimo tributo e un bello show da godersi...
